Wayzata Match Cup was established in 2016. A sailing event featuring world-class match racing teams battling each other on towering M32 catamarans, all within reach of the Downtown Wayzata shoreline.  The weekend includes racing, food, and entertainment.

The goal of the Wayzata Match Cup is to bring world-class sailing to Minnesota and showcase Wayzata as a premiere event destination while benefiting local businesses and inspiring the next generation of Lake Minnetonka sailors. Wayzata Match Cup is organized by local professional sailor, Sam Rogers & community leader Andrew Mullin.   Having participated on the World Match Race Tour and organized other Grand-Prix sailing events around the world, Sam has a keen sense what is needed to successfully execute events like the Wayzata Match Cup and ensure that sponsors receive maximum ROI.
